USuC's o-line will be young and inexperienced ...they will not protect barkley as well as they did this past season
But Barkley will be better and the defense will be better. And their recruiting class should be nice. USC won't sink lower than they have this year. Unless of course they are found to have known about the Bush problem. Until then they will be the consistent leaders (top two) for a while to come. I think Oregon should win the Pac Ten again next season though.

Dont tell me what to do Bob......

LOL. You have a problem with me wanting to see the facts regarding a claim? Sorry. I figured you would know something about citing your sources. I had to do it a lot in college. Its generally not an offensive request. Besides, I just read through a blog you offered as evidence of SC's corruption and I didn't see what you said was there. Asking you to point it out seems reasonable.......  I guess I'll just have to take your word for it that the program is corrupt. Thanks for straightening me out.

Simers got it right

USC shouldn't be letting Mike Garrett run an end-around

There is talk about how the basketball program is assuming the role of sacrificial lamb in the hopes its slaughter might mitigate any football punishment, but that also takes the blame off Garrett, who deserves it all.

I won't bother wasting my time defending Mike Garrett because that dude is a douche. Back when Paul Hackett was coach, I had (still have) a t shirt that said FIRE PAUL HACKETT on the front, and MIKE GARRETT, TOO on the back. I was pissed when Pete Started to have success knowing that the football team having success would secure Garrett's position.............. As for the USC hate. Hate on people. That's what hater do. And that's what happens when you are at the top. Go to the ESPN forums. They bash our beloved Lakers all day there. That's what happens when you are at the top. Derelict knows what I'm talking about. The fact is, there are lots of rumors and stories about what a corrupt team USC has, but little factual evidence. The McKnight car things looks bad, but can you really stop a dude from driving his baby mommas car? That seems legal. And is it that crazy that a boss would gift or allow an employee to use, a car? I know I used a former employers Jag for a couple of weeks when my car was totaled. And I've loaned a BMW to an employee before. It sure looks bad, but the fact is that McKnights situation is a little gray and the school is looking for some interpretation from the NCAA about it. The guy wasn't allowed to play in a bowl game and may get banned, so that issue is in the process of being resolved. Not swept under the rug. As for Bush's parents who received free housing in San Diego, 100 miles away. Is it not possible that Bush, his parents, and the agent operated independently of the school? The fact that you people have latched on to these things as evidence of corruption exposes your agenda. You have them convicted on hearsay. I am the most rational, logical person (fact) in this forum (with all due respect to the few other rational people) and of a higher moral character (opinion), too. I will be the first to condemn them should something come out in the court case that Juan so eagerly has invested in. Many of you chose to support Kobe while the Colorado facts were sorted out. Anybody that did but doesn't afford the Trojans the same luxury is a @$%#! hypocrite. As I have requested before, ANYONE WITH FACT BASED EVIDENCE THAT WOULD LIKE TO ENLIGHTEN ME IS ENCOURAGED TO DO SO. It would be hard to swallow, but I am man enough to do so, so I will. Show me the evidence and I will call for Peteys dismissal too.

When you're Allen Iverson, NO. You don't know anybody squeaky clean...... Certainly I am not. But I know many, many people who are as squeaky clean as the image they portray. People that say "Nobody is squeaky clean" or "everybody has skeletons in their closet" are just projecting their own character flaws on others in an attempt to justify their own said flaws.

Lots of circumstantial evidence that points to school breaking rules. It is up to NCAA to connect the dots if they can.I am not so sure that NCAA wants to bring down a major cash cow. NCAA is also as corrupt as almost any school that they bust. I do not think Pete should be dismissed if there are major violations but that Garrett should pay the price since he is the ultimate boss.Where there is smoke there is usually fire and there has been smoke around the problem for awhile. Garrett took a huge gamble when he hired Floyd.

I'm not attacking you Ron. Just your argument. Which is the same argument that every hater on ESPN message boards has. Its that there is so much smoke, there must be a fire. And if we find there is not a fire, it will be because everyone is corrupt. Its a no win for USC. They have already been convicted. The only reason they havnt been punished is because the NCAA will somehow make less money if they do punish USC. I don't believe it. I don't believe the NCAA needs to let big schools slide to get their $$$$. Punishing a school does not hurt the NCAA's bottom line.

I do not feel like you are attacking me Bob. I totally disagree with you on this issue however. There have been more than enough crap that has gone on at USC in the last few years for NCAA to come down on the SC program for lack of institutional control. NCAA has a history of being lenient with cash cow programs and have come down harder on smaller schools. Nebraska and Alabama are two examples of where NCAA let two major programs off pretty easy for major violations. NCAA loves having SC in major bowl games because they travel well and draw better ratings tham almost all other schools. There is a reason that neither Boise State or TCU is in the BCS Champiuonship Game and that reason is money. Texas played a horrible non-conference schedule this year and played in a conference that sucked. The only major school that the NCAA came down hard on was Miami of Florida because Canes really pissed off NCAA. Everything comes down to money in the end.

Maybe he does and maybe he does not. I do not think that it is a given either way. Dude was a turnover machine his senior year in high school and was pretty much a turnover machine this season. I agree with you on Oregon though.

USC should impose the worse penalty of all on their football team…a minimum GPA and IQ score for college athletes and a criminal background check…that should eliminate all of their blue chip athletes they have had over the last few years. No standards..damn!

Well Bob looks like you will not have any need to call for Pete's head but maybe Garrett's instead. Kind of strange why Pete would take a crappy NFL job and leave USC for the great northwest.

Crappy? 7 million a year and full control sounds pretty good. Seahawks went 5-11. there isn't that much pressure. they can only get better.

No after listening to Pete's going out press conference I think he takes the case. I call bullsh1t when he says that NCAA probe has absolutely nothing to do with him leaving and that Seahawk job is so great he can't pass up the opportunity. Call me crazy but I would rather be coaching 49ers, Dolphins, Redskins or Falcons. Those were all the NFL jobs in the past that he turned down that i know about to stay at USC.

Crazy. there i said it. How are those jobs any better? They all stunk and were thin on talent. Pete never would've had control in Washington or Miami. SF's ownership is shaky and Atlanta was the only one that became a viable team because of the drafting of Matt Ryan.
