The U.S. opens against England in Rustenburg on June 12, their first World Cup matchup since the Americans' 1-0 upset victory at the 1950 tournament in Brazil.
The United States then plays Slovenia at Johannesburg's Ellis Park on June 18 and completes the first round on June 23 with its first-ever match against Algeria in Pretoria.

Mexico's group is pretty tough. It should be between Mexico, France, and Uruguay.
Toughest group is Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, and Portugal.

Ok that makes sense, I still think the Brazilians will dominate the world cup. And where the hell is Ivory Coast?

I don't think any USA fan would disagree. But the single elimination set-up gives a small glimmer of hope. I don't think the US will win, but they've shown they can hang and beat the traditional soccer powers.
