Prolly not.

Ron made me spit out my coffee when he mentioned Kirk Rueter.

That said, I bet Billy Swift still has some action on that sinker, and Dave Dravecky has been working like the dickens on his right arm.

Rueter owned the Angels in 2002 World Series. Fortunately for Angel Nation Dusted Baker was too stupid to figure this out and started
Livan Hernandez instead. After Angels sent Hernandez to an early shower Rueter once again shut down Angels in relief. I still remember calling my bookie laughing when I saw Hernandez warming up in the bullpen. Dravecky as a right hander may be a better option than Russ Ortiz at this point.

I used to call Rueter "the retard," and used to lick my chops knowing blue would score runs on him and, Oritz AND Jason Shmidt.

Unfortunately for Blue Ortiz will probably work out for them about as well as Schmidt did. Rueter had a great career considering that his best fastball had trouble cracking a pain of glass.

Unfortunately, sometimes the rivalry is all we got. Makes the season interesting at least.

I don;t think Colletti's done. If he is, I hope Ortiz breaks down before the season starts, and gets released. Bring some kids up if they're gonna be cheap about it.

Looks like Rhihanna wants to stay in LA 2 more years. Good move forcing Billingsly to a contract year. His time to show he's worth anything.

I hear blue's going after Joel Pinnierro too. He may be a step up from Padilla.

Piniero is asking for more than he's worth.
Heyman is writing that the Angels are interested. I guess he'd be a great #5, but not with that price tag.

Why don't the Dodgers sign Matt Kemp's agent, Dave Stewart? He used to throw a mean fast ball in the 1980's.

Looks like Colletti's first pririty was to sign the kids and avoid arbitration. I'm pleasantly surprised they kept George Sherrill. Good, maybe they can make him into our closer. All we need is at least one more decent veteran pitcher. I like Padilla for a one year deal. I'm not, or never was a Russ Ortiz guy.

Like I said before, if he makes the team he better have lost 50 lbs and develop something else but that 90 mph fast ball. I like Weaver as the 5th starter by committee over him.
