Perhaps I'm losing my sense of humor. Remember I'm the guy that almost pissed my pants laughing (in the theatre) when John Travolta accidentally shot off Marvin's head of in Pulp Fiction.

Who didn't laugh at that scene? One of the most classics scenes ever.

We bought UP last weekend, and I can't lie, I've watched it twice already.
I'm shocked at how much I love it....10/10.
The musical composition is brilliant, and the love story is one of the most touching ever put on screen.
Despite the sometimes serious tone, the comedic value is also top notch.
I can't say enough great things about this film.

I liked it too. I always thought Leo was kind of lame, but when I saw him in Catch Me If You Can, I decided he was OK.

I just read Leo's going to portray a young Teddy Roosevelt, in an upcoming film.
Should be interesting.

The young actor that I really like is Emile Hirsch. Kid has some serious chops.

It's pretty good. Really good visually, which is surprising since the main colors used through the story are browns and grays. Kind of short, but most animated films are. The concept is pretty weird.

Avatar 9/10

raises the bar on sci fi/action films. visually stunning and the 3D was used to put you in the environment not as a gimmick. some movies use 3D just as a selling point and just throw shit at the lens for the hell of it. James Cameron is a freakin' genius. the story was good and although it was similar to Pocahontas, it was exciting and something that hasn't been done before cinematically.

one last thing, after watching it i realized George Lucas owes me a refund for the last 3 Star Wars movies. they were effin' cartoons.

Really, I thought the Obi-wan/Anakin fight was epic. Must be a generational thing. I also didn't like the hangover and thought it was just stupid. Then again, I didn't think batman was that great:) Guess I will download UP

I laughed just as hard when they accidently shot the cat in Boondock Saints.

Watched a documentary called Man on Wire.
It was decent...7.7/10.
It's about the French guy and his buddies who pulled off walking a tight rope between the Twin Towers in the 70's.
Pretty brave for a Frenchman.

Saw a really good French movie last night on IFC called "Road To Glory." It was about Muslims from North Africa and Algerians fighting with the French against the Nazis in WWII and how they were discriminated against by the very French that they were fighting for. Highly recommend it. 9 out of 10.

I haven't. But the people I've talked to who have seen it, says the best part is the visual experience. It's something you've never seen in movies before. I would go see it in IMAX 3D if you can.

I haven't seen it either, but I've heard so much about it and I've seen the previews and I already like the graphics. I could only imagine how badass the 3D looks in theaters. I have to go see this one though. I wonder how they're going to do it so when it comes out on DVD/BlueRay to still be 3D. Maybe we would have to separately purchase the 3D glasses or they will make it in a special way or something. Either way, this movie has been a hit so far. I read that within three weeks of its release, it had grossed over $1 billion worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing film of all time, exceeded only by Titanic. If you haven't seen it and your monitor can handle HD, I'd watch this preview in HD and set to full screen.
