Optimism on Kendrick and Shields? Are you hitting the sierra nevada a little early today? Or did you switch places with one of those rose colored glasses wearing blind optimists on angelswin?Posted Image

I know. New & improved & optimistic Koz.
I do believe Kendrick has finally found his game.
Shields would just be gravy. Last year, we NEEDED him to do well. It's amazing they went to Game 6 of the ALCS with that bullpen. Jepsen & Bulger are legit.

Yeah, what has become of you? This team is going to be worst than Texas AND now the M's. Godzilla is NOT an upgrade. Joel Pineiro is not an upgrade to the staff sans Lackey. Now you gotta count on a guy to get Figgy with it? Who is that guy?

You can count on Texas for another September fade job as usual. Their pitching will not hold up. Angels have some big question marks but should be better than Rangers. I do not think they are stronger than last year but time will tell. Piniero over Lackey is not an improvement. Kazmir will be the key for pitching staff. If I had to guess I would say that Ayabar gets Figgy with it. Who knows what Brandon Wood will do? Mariners figure to make a big run but I could see Angels still winning the division if things break right. As far as this team winning World Series I would have to say very doubtful.

All in all, it don't matter for the next 3-4-5 years. It's all about another Yankees dynasty.

Their pitching staff will be good this year until Lee leaves for free agency. Best of luck to them if they're relying on Milton Bradley and Russel Branyan as their rbi guys.

It may be raining, but the sun is shining down on Angel Stadium. Gary Matthews Jr. has been traded to the Mets for relief pitcher Brian Stokes. The Angels will also pay $21.5 million of the remaining $23.5 million left on Matthews' contract. I don't even care about that, as long as that worthless fuck is gone!Posted Image Posted Image

I guess he'll be playing in the outfield with Beltran and Bay.

I think he'll play CF until Beltran is healthy. I'm pretty sure Franceour will play RF.

Kendry just signed with Scott BorASS. Great. I hope we have some good 1B prospects in the system. Or at least can trade for Adrian Gonzalez.

He already has. One Weaver and two Ortizes should win about 10 games between the three of them.
