Former Lakers, Bulls Coach Phil Jackson Writing Memoir

By | May 29, 2012|

According to the Associated Press via ESPN, former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson is working on a personal memoir that is tentatively titled Eleven Rings..

Jackson, who retired following the 2010-11 season after his Lakers were swept by the eventual NBA champion Dallas Mavericks, is largely considered the greatest coach in NBA history.

His 11 championships are the most of any NBA coach, edging out Boston Celtics legend Red Auerbach.

Jackson won six championships with the Chicago Bulls before joining Los Angeles in 1999 and leading the Lakers to five additional titles.

The book is scheduled to be released next year.
