Final Grades and Performance Reviews

Adam Morrison:

Morrison may have been the butt of the joke as the Lakers celebrated their title on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but Kobe Bryant gave the former Gonzaga star credit for accepting a lesser role for the good of the team. Morrison wasn’t an effective force on the floor this year for the Lakers, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t help the team.

NBA: April 14, 2010: Los Angeles Clippers d Los Angeles Lakers 107-91. Lakers Adam Morrison.

Morrison worked hard on the practice court to push his teammates and provide a much-needed service from the bench. His impact on the team off the court and the Lakers’ chemistry was certainly felt, and mentioned by Bryant. However, Morrison earns an INC. grade due to his lack of time spent on the floor for Los Angeles.

No way, A-/B+ at the utmost minimum. Many believe that Gasol was actually the MVP of the finals and they have a valid point.

If Fish gets a B+ (#2 productive player), while the injured Bynum gets a C, then this Article gets a D.

I’m sorry to say, but these have to be the worst ranking I’ve ever seen? What is this even based on? You’ve got to be joking if Pau doesn’t receive an A, or at minimum an A- for his contributions to this team. Bynum had injuries but definitely performed at a B+. Ron Artest didn’t have a great season, along with Lamar Odom, and they both deserve C- or below. Let’s not forget, C is average, therefore these players should be based on their performance, how they measure up against other players at their position, other players on the team at that position, their ability to perform in the clutch when it mattered most, their locker room presence, and whether they matched or exceeded expectations that we set forth for them prior to the season’s start. Looks more like a popularity contest to me. These are the kinds of articles that inspire me to get back into writing again.

    Thanks!

BTW, great job with the site! I may not entirely agree with the content, but keep it coming. You guys are doing a great job!

I don’t understand why people keep calling what Vujacic did to Dragic an elbow. Dragic’s head was over vujacic’s shoulder. Vujacic lifted his arm and bumped his shoulder into dragic’s chin (admittedly a stupid move). Dragic then took an awful dive, crumpling to the floor like he had just been hit by mike tyson. When I saw that the refs were watching the replay I expected them to penalize Dragic for diving, but it definitely wasn’t an “elbow.” If you have to say Vujacic HIT Dragic at least say it was a shoulder.
