Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol & Jordan Hill Out With Injuries

NBA: Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles LakersAccording to team spokesman John Blake at Lakers practice today, the Lakers are facing some serious injury issues following their Sunday night loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Black spoke to reporters on Monday and informed everyone that Dwight Howard suffered a torn labrum in his shoulder and is out at least a week, but will still travel with the team.

Pau Gasol is out indefinitely with a concussion sustained vs. Denver, and will not travel with the team.

And, to top it all off, Jordan Hill is also out after suffering a hip injury on Sunday night.

The team canceled practice on Monday, and appears to be in a world of hurt, both literally and figuratively, as they prepare for the Houston Rockets on Tuesday.

All players will be reevaluated soon, but for now won’t be available for the Lakers.

Time to shine for Sacre , Ebanks and EClark. We never know they might be the team’s X-Factor to win now…wishful thinking!

wonder if they’ll bring up sacre from the d league. seems like they’d have to now.

umm yes they will, with only one true big man left. we need all the bodys we can get

        • Michael

…and cutting Johnson-Odom. Wonder what move they’ll do with that. They need big men especially now, but all our PG’s still can’t play a bit of defense. Right?

Problem??? This is D’Anotni’s dream: everyone playing out of their natural position. If he applies what is experimenting on Gasol, Nash should be the natural replacement for Dwight.
