Dwight Howard Makes Appearance at Dodger Stadium

After learning of the Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic talking about a potential blockbuster trade for Dwight Howard on Tuesday, the buzz around L.A. kicked into high gear with Howard seemingly on the verge of being dealt to the Lakers. As if the trade rumor wasn’t enough to get Lakers fans excited, Howard was spotted at Dodger Stadium on the very same day.

As a guest of Magic Johnson, Howard watched the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Philadelphia Phillies. During the game, talk of Howard being at Dodger Stadium started circulating all over Twitter, Facebook and many other social media sites. Ultimately, a picture of Howard in a luxury box at Dodger Stadium was posted and that led to Howard ending up on the big screen above the outfield in which he received a standing ovation from Dodgers Nation.

With Howard currently rehabbing from back surgery in Los Angeles, it’s no surprise to see him around town. Even though Howard has been seen in different parts of the City of Angels over the past few weeks, the superstar center showing up at Dodger Stadium after a blockbuster trade is reportedly in the works with the Lakers and Magic brass talking about making a deal is interesting to say the least.

It remains uncertain at this point in time if a deal between the Lakers and Magic will ultimately get done in the near future. There’s no question that the Lakers have serious interest in acquiring Howard in a swap for All-Star center Andrew Bynum, but there appears to be plenty of bumps in the road in terms of finally getting this deal done.

The most recent development in the Dwight Howard saga has the Cleveland Cavaliers back in the fold. Apparently, the Cavs are prepared to be the third team in the deal that would result in Bynum heading to Cleveland, Howard being shipped to L.A. and Anderson Varejao, and draft picks to Orlando.
