Derek Fisher’s former teammate, Kendrick Perkins, recently challenged the new head coach of the New York Knicks to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Fisher accepted the challenge and posted a video showing him getting drenched with ice cold water on his Instagram account:

“I accept #ALSicebucketchallenge from @kendrickp5. I nominate @kobebryant @tyrese @iamdiddy @dezbryant. You have 24 hours to complete your challenge or you owe 10k. Video cred @india63 #ALSicebucketchallenge #cold #ioweyoubigperk #paybackisamutha”

Even though most people nominate three others after doing the challenge, Fisher went with four instead. The five-time NBA champion nominated Kobe Bryant, Tyrese Gibson, P. Diddy and Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys.

After hearing about the challenge from his former teammate, Kobe accepted via Twitter:

Kobe also points out that he was nominated by a few others with the Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade and ESPN’s Darren Rovell also challenging the Lakers star. Wade posted his challenge on Instagram and nominated another Laker great in Magic Johnson:

Kobe hasn’t posted a video as of yet, but he did say he’ll being doing it later today. Curious to see who the superstar will nominate after doing his challenge? Head coach Byron Scott and some of his teammates could be next in line.

Hahaha cute name. “Clippers Run L.A.” hahaha poor Clippers, they really think they’re that good.

Pic makes no sense. Would someone who hates the Lakers and trolls their site actually wear a Laker jersey? LOL.

  • Jim213

Lol, just like yourself a wannabe laker fan in disguise. How many aliases do you use to have a conversation with yourself? Shows nobody cares about you since you spend more time hating on this site (daily) rather than be with your own kind lol.

I respect the Lakers’ teams that were actually good, such as the 80s teams. But they’ve been a joke since then. And I only have one ID here..? And if you don’t care then why did you respond?
Sheesh, Jim isn’t much on logic or thought.

Smh, stick to baseball. Five titles since 2000 and the brand seems like a joke since then? lol.
