David Stern Confident He Can Bring Fans Full-82 Game Season

NBA commissioner David Stern eliminated the first 100 games of the season a few weeks ago, but according to sources, Stern is not willing to let a full 82-game season go away. Two sources close to the labor talks said that the players union believes Stern promised the NBA’s television partners an 82-game 2011-12 campaign.

The union made claims that Stern assured ESPN and TNT that there will still be a full NBA season.

SI.com:  “While two weeks of the regular season have already been canceled and at least two more are expected to go soon, two sources close to the negotiations said the union believes that Stern assured his ESPN and TNT television partners that, by back-ending the missed games, he can still deliver an 82-game season even if starts in December.”

It is good to hear good news after such a depressing couple of days, the commissioner still has faith in these tense labor talks.
