The road to a championship is never easy and is usually marked by great games and accomplishments throughout the year. The NBA along with iTunes have handpicked what they feel are the best of the best and given us the chance to relive those moments from the comforts of our computer, iPods or iPhones.

Personally, I have all the games downloaded just so I can watch them over and over again while my girl’s shopping or if I’m waiting to get my oil changed at Jiffy Lube.

I posted up a story on our Facebook Page and then someone drops a youtube link of this Lil Wayne remix. Who is this kid? Well, we reached out to him and this is what we got:

Dialysus has a very inspirational story behind his rap name. At the age of 10 he was diagnosed with a kidney disease. This disease became worse over the years, and in February of 2006 he had to go on dialysis. He was hooked up to a machine 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dialysis is the process by which uric acid and urea are removed from circulating blood by means of a dialyzer. Unfortunately his kidneys failed and had to be removed causing him to need a transplant. With much prayer, family, and friend support, he was lucky enough to find a perfect match for his kidney in his father Derek Simmons Sr. On July 12, 2006 he had a kidney transplant at St. Barnabas Hospital. After 6 other surgeries he was finally released from the hospital on August 26, 2006. After he was released, he wrote a song about his life and his career has taken off from there. Dialysus is formerly the Freestyle Friday Champ on BET’s 106 and Park and recently competed in The Freestyle Friday March Mayhem Tournament.

Ya, it was only last year, but man, it’s great to look back and watch Kobe in action. I don’t know what it was -- the water, the anger, the fact that he was about to promote his new movie, but Kobe was uber-focused that night and was nailing jumpers and making moves that would have everyone in the NBA talking all the way throughout the season.

The announcement for the participants for the 2010 NBA Dunk Contest to be held on February 13th, 2010 before 10,000 were recently announced and the anticipation to hear Shannon Brown’s name along with Lebron Jame’s name was high! Last year, as Dwight Howard and Nate Robinson were soaking up the spotlight with one of the most memorable Dunk Contest ever, Lebron grabs the microphone and tells everyone that he wants in on the dunk contest in 2010. Everyone was hyped and excited to see one of the most athletic NBA players ever come in and show us what he got.

But then as the even approached, Lebron started backing off his promise, showing how much he just craves attention. Well, now that he has decided to pull out and with the emergence of Shannon Brown as a favorite, I thought I’d show you what happened when they actually did go after each other.
