The Zoom Kobe VII kicks have made a splash in the sneaker world, as do nearly all new installments of Kobe Bryant’s signature shoes.

Nike is finding different ways to promote their new Kobe gear, and are referring to it simply as the Kobe System. Now there are new ads featuring comedian Aziz Ansari and professional skateboarder Paul Rodriguez (P-Rod), both telling entertaining stories about their “experiences” with the Kobe System.

Everyone knows that the NBA season will be opening on Christmas this year. One of the big games taking place on Christmas will be between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls. Two of the biggest superstars in the league, Kobe Bryant and Derrick Rose, will square off.

Our friends over at Kicksologists informed us that Nike has scheduled a release date for the highly anticipated Zoom Kobe VII.

Nike has released a statement describing the latest Kobe Bryant signature shoe, and is set to release the kicks on Dec. 22.

What makes this particular pair of shoes different from most is the extreme amount of customization that you can do with it. While everyone knows about different colorways and such, the Zoom Kobe VII can be completely molded to meet your specific demands on the court.

The Nike Kobe VII System Supreme edition, which is both the shoe and the removable parts, includes two interchangeable insert options that allow players to switch out the cushioning and ankle support to match their style of play. In a world that is all about customization, the Zoom Kobe VII gives each individual complete control.

Nike has announced two possible choices for the Zoom Kobe VII, each of which will accentuate your game on the court.

ATTACK FAST
If a player’s game is based on speed, there is the Attack Fast insert that features a Phylon midsole with Nike Zoom units in the forefoot and heel for the ultimate in lightweight responsiveness. It also has a low-cut, power-stretch cuff that hugs the foot for support. Its sock-like fit eliminates the need for a traditional tongue and innersleeve, keeping the shoe lightweight.

ATTACK STRONG
For games that get intense and physical in the paint, there is the Attack Strong insert. It offers a full-length Cushlon midsole and an ankle cuff for a plush, comfortable ride with great support.  The sensory cuffs are made of an engineered power-stretch material that is padded and perforated for comfort and ventilation.

Nike announced the Zoom Kobe VII today and released some pictures of the Mamba’s newest signature kicks. What do you think of the newest Kobe Bryant sneakers?

In celebration of their one year anniversary, the Nike Vault is releasing a special pack containing a custom Zoom Kobe VI, AW-77 hoodie, and Safety Deposit Box.

The custom Zoom Kobe VI features the Nike Vault signature colors of black, charcoal gray, white, and gold and includes significant numbers relevant to the Nike Vault in the first year.

Yesterday, we received an invitation from Nike to attend an event in Los Angeles. On the top of the invite, it said “It’s About Time!” I didn’t put 2 and 2 together until I checked out Nice Kicks blowing out their blog into a Back to the Future themed tribute to what can be called the “Holy Grail of Shoes.”Definitely hope this is going to be as good as the Nike Vault One Year Anniversary Event we went to just a few days ago!
