Carlos Boozer Teams Up With NBA Stars For Rap Album

Carlos Boozer is known for his work in the post and on the backboards. Now he’s also looking to be known for his work in the studio.

Boozer will be teaming with a number of other NBA stars and rappers for a collaborative album entitled Full Court Press Vol. 1.

According to the trailer, the album will include tracks from players such as Stephen Jackson, Lou Williams, and Shawn Marion while also featuring well-known rappers such as Trina, T-Pain, and Twista.

The NBA and hip-hop have long been connected as rappers have continually been seen at games and vice versa. Many NBA stars, past and present, have dropped albums or even started their own record labels. Guys like Kevin Durant and Allen Iverson being more recent.

Boozer wouldn’t be the first Laker to be involved in rap. Fans everywhere remember Shaquille O’Neal’s debut album ‘Shaq Diesel’ is certified platinum. Kobe Bryant also had an ill-fated step into the hip-hop realm with his album ‘Visions’ and first single, K.O.B.E.

You guys need a new hobby. But stephen Jackson has a few ok bars. Carlos Boozer you need to work on your bball game and not your rap game. It didn’t work out for shaq, kobe, Iverson, and metta its not going to work for you by what ive just witnessed. honest.

Whatever helps him play better for us… we all have hobbies and dreams that we hope can become realities. Wish him the best… and no I didn’t bother watching the video.

Mostly because of Shawn Marion’s face. ;)

Marion would be a great addition, but he’s probably heading to a team w/ more money or the Cavs.

Could the lakers have nash retire and just pay him a 1 yr contract to assistant coach since he wants the money and don’t care about playing?

    • Duckathon

Seriously doubt he’ll entertain that offer. Either way, it’s a little too late to do that now.
