Bynum Leaves Game With Hyper-Extended Knee

Midway through the second quarter of the Lakers’ home game against the West-leading San Antonio Spurs tonight, Andrew Bynum suffered what is being reported as a hyper-extended right knee, forcing him to the locker room for the remainder of the game. He is scheduled to have an MRI tomorrow morning.

He experienced the hyperextension when he stepped on the foot of San Antonio’s DeJuan Blair, causing him to fall awkwardly.

This is the fourth time in as many seasons that Bynum has suffered a knee injury, however, the extent of his injury is yet to be determined.
