Losing to the Boston Celtics is the worst feeling in the world. Despite not having Kobe (and Shannon Brown thinking for whatever reason, that he has the midrange of Kobe Bryant), there was no excuse for losing that game to an aging, depleted, splintered group of neophytes from Boston. It’s still one game in February, but still. I hate giving those scumbags any sort of pleasure.
It comes from the simple fact that I hate Boston and all it stands for. I hate Rajon Rondo’s jump shot; he has the form of a girl in the 7th grade. I hate Paul Pierce; only because he looks like a catfish. I hate Marquis Daniels because he looks like he should have mutant powers. (And the fact that he got tattoos of Chinese symbols on his arm that were meant to represent his initials, but actually translate to “healthy woman roof.”) I hate Kendrick Perkins, because he looks like Casper. I hate Danny Ainge, because… well, that should be obvious. I hate Doc Rivers, because he cries, doesn’t coach, and completely plays to the cameras during those “Inside the Locker Room” segments.
Most of all, I hate Kevin Garnett. I hate him for everything that Boston fans drool over him for. I hate the fact that he acted as if he had just solved world Cancer when he won his first title. He bullies guys like Zaza Pachulia, but never picks a fight with the big dogs in the league and is routinely punked by Lamar Odom. The only thing I like about him is how he disappears in big time moments and has devolved into a crippled caricature of his former self.
In fact, I’d like to take a moment to pinpoint exactly when KG’s career took a nosedive.

- The “30 Day Rule,” is a joke, according to Doc Rivers and Phil Jackson. The rule, which allows traded players who are bought out to return to their former team after 30 days, could allow Zydrunas Ilgauskas to return to Cleveland after 30 days. This would mean that the Cavs would only give up a first round pick (guaranteed to be in the bottom 3) for Antwan Jamison. [Red's Army]

- The Nuggets and the Cavaliers had an entertaining duel in Cleveland last night. LeBron’s line: 43 points, 13 rebounds, 15 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks. Melo’s line: 40 points (including the game winning shot), 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks. The Cavs were without Antwan Jamison and Mo Williams saw limited duty. [ESPN]
