About

Starting in August of 2008, Lakers Nation began as a simple Twitter account – @LakersNation -  that provided news about the Lakers. Slowly growing with this new social media trend, Lakers Nation started to take off along with Twitter in February of 2009. So much so, that we have been fortunate enough to be rated a Top 10 Twitter in the Los Angeles Area by Grader.com!

To better engage with our Twitter following, we decided to launch MyLakersNation.com in April 2009 as an online community where all Laker fans from around the world could have an arena where they can meet other fans and share their passionate thoughts on their Los Angeles Lakers. On MLN.com, members are given the ability to make blogs, groups and integrate their Twitter accounts.

With the success of MyLakersNation.com and our Twitter account, LakersNation.com was naturally next to be launched in July 2009. Our goal is to provide news and updates on everything Lakers in the spirit of Legendary Lakers Announcer Chick Hearn, where we want to bring Laker fans from all backgrounds and cultures together.

Just so that we make sure we cover every part of the internet, we also have started to establish our presence on Facebook & Google Plus. You can be our friend at Facebook.com/LakersNation or become a fan on our Lakers Nation Fan Page.

We are Purple. We are Gold. We are Champions. We are Lakers Nation.
