These alternatives, particularly the example from Chicago, show that teamwork is still a very important factor.  Despite his unbelievable individual talent, Michael Jordan still needed his team; like Kobe, he never won when he played selfishly and without an All-Star partner.  Many of Bryant's pundits like to point out that Jordan made his team better, however they fail to see that without making the team better, Jordan wouldn't have had a team, and thus would not have gotten where he did.  Nonetheless, there are certain qualities one can expect from All-Stars, both in terms of athleticism and leadership.  The size combination also lends itself well to creating the mismatches that the trangle offense works so well with.
