During an appearance on Power 106, Kobe Bryant chimed in on the World Cup and made his pick for who he believes will win it all, according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

Kobe is one of three avid soccer fans currently on the Los Angeles Lakers squad. Steve Nash and Pau Gasol also pay close attention to the sport and will have their eyes glued to the screen over the next few weeks with the Spaniard rooting for his home country and the two-time NBA MVP hoping England pulls through.

As of right now, Brazil is the safe bet to win it all as the host country. Although the Brazilians were disappointing to say the least in the last World Cup back in 2010 in South Africa, superstar Neymar and company will look to bounce back with a vengeance this year in an effort to win a sixth World Cup title.

The last time Brazil came out on top in the World Cup was 2002 in South Korea and Japan. Superstars Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho led the way as Brazil dominated the tournament conceding only four goals in seven matches. Ronaldo scored two goals in the World Cup Final to seal the deal against Germany.
